I was introduced to music through MTV when I was in 4th Grade.
When Pour Some Sugar On Me debuted, I was completely hooked. I grew up with the 80's Hair Bands (Def Leppard, Tesla, G-N-R) before discovering Classic Rock
(Hendrix, Cream, and the Allman Brothers.) By the time I was graduating high school,
I was totally into the Jam Band scene, The Dead, Phish, tDB, and SCI.) In hindsight, that might have been my downfall. I became an avid collector of live recordings from my favorite bands. All told, I must have close to five thousand CD's, either with me now or in storage somewhere. That's a serious problem!
I joined my first band in Elmira NY where I attended a four year institution,
(BTW that's Elmira College, not the Elmira Correctional Facility down the road.)
After meeting and jamming with local blues rock veteran Louis Cypher we began the Voodoo Love project. Voodoo Love became notorious for rocking out the college town scene playing a mixture of Classic Rock covers and classic rock-styled originals in all the local watering holes.
After EC I eventually found myself in Northern, MA and most recently Southern, NH.
The love for music has never left me and I was almost jumping out of my skin to play music again.
Come and check us out!
The best muscial advice I've ever gotten:
"When in doubt...take a deep breath, step forward, and PLAY LOUD!"
